Gathered together is research and a writing routine organized for my first novel.
The work is science-fiction – a dystopian look at the drug war fought in the distant future with humans and beasts vying to be trillionaire capos.
The story centers on Canary, based on the real life of El Chapo, and his ride to the top of the Narco world, how he runs his operation and what lengths he must go through to keep that power.
The idea is that an endless war trying to sabotage the supply side of the drug trade is pointless if more is not done to stem demand.
While I will look at the impoverished and corrupt conditions that create and foment cartel activity, I will also explore the socio-economic conditions that create this demand.
