I had a very needed, restful day off with my family. All we did was go over homework with our son, play with our dogs, have dinner at our favorite restaurant, go shopping at Costco, and wind down with video games and zoning out on our phones. I slept in my own bedroom and bed for the first time in two weeks. My son plays a doubleheader today with a Travel Ball team in a practice tournament as he gets ready for High School ball next spring having made the JV as a young freshman. We will be basking in the Sun with temperatures in Southern California still around 80. I will sneak in some draft kings and NFL scoreboard watching and jibber jabber with other Baseball dads and moms. These are the little things that make getting older fun and rewarding.
